Hi! I'm Diana Picón 🇲🇽✌🏽 Here I work on my crochet and fiber art💐 Here's to hoping my work made you smile ✨

Hi y'all! I'm happy to share that there's a new pa Hi y'all! I'm happy to share that there's a new pattern available on my website. As always, patterns on my website are free. For the ad-free versions you can find them on Ravelry and Ribblr 🧶 I want to share this story. I started working on this project the day after the Superbowl. I decided I wanted to crochet Benito wearing the same Jersey he wore at halftime, with his last name and #64 embroidered on. I was crocheting and started drafting the pattern for the jersey on my notebook until I ran out of this specific shade of off-white yarn I was using for the outfit. Cut to the very next day, my father informs me that my grandma (abuelita Irma) is gravely ill in the hospital. By the time I got to them my grandma had passed. I spent the next three days with my family. My parents, siblings, my niece and nephew, cousins I hadn’t seen in years, and aunts and uncles I’d never even met before. And we all talked about the halftime show, how cool it was, how it moved us, what struck us the most, and ultimately we’d land on nostalgia for our recent loss. I’d lost my grandma, my uncles had lost an aunt, and my father had lost his mother. When I got back to Tucson I cried and cried. Reminisced on my grandmother, the woman that taught me how to crochet when I was a child. After I was done crying I picked myself up, went out to buy the off-white yarn I needed to finish the Jersey. And then I actually completed the project. I completed it with a new found respect for my family, a softer perspective on life, and feeling closer to my craft than ever 🤍 To make this Benito figurine I used the Classic Doll Base Pattern 🧶, the Curly Hair Tutorial🧶, and the Tiny Jersey pattern I now share with you :) #dtmf #benito #smallbiz #slay

after using every crochet technique at my disposal after using every crochet technique at my disposal, I am pleased to share with you: Olympic champion and gold medal winner, @alysaxliu made of yarn I love the way this metallic gold yarn sparkles ✨ The main body is made with the Classic Doll Base, I added 3 hdc to the bottom of her feet for the skates ⛸️
For her halos, the chainless single crochet foundation was really useful, but I still used my regular technique for the top of her hair. 💀💀 I have never had to hide so many yarn ends for a doll's hair before 💀💀 lashes are embroidered on with embroidery floss and I used pink eyeshadow for blush 🩷 This crochet figurine is one of a kind 🧶💭 #peak #slay #smallbiz

THE GRANNY

Hello, friend. I'm Diana, I constantly find myself creating new things out of yarn, so I decided to share my love for crochet with you. Crochet helps me clear my head from everyday life. Creating something cute immediately improves your mood, don't you think? That's why crochet is so important to me. It's beautiful to realize you have the power to create something cute and meaningful from such simple materials. In time, it's a testament to your patience and dedication, lol
